My cat had a plague build up on his tooth, so he had to have an injection. When he went back the cage to go back to the car, my grandad stupidly holded the cage strange causing the handle to snap off. Then my cat ran off and jumped over a fence onto someones garden and kept running. He ran off just a 15 minute walk away, but my worry is he has gone the wrong way home. Now hes been gone for 1 day and im getting stupidly worried. My worry is that if he'd walked the wrong way. Im putting up posters soon as. Aslo told the vets to contact us if he is spotted. What else can i do? Ive gone round my neighbourhood shouting his name several times and im getting worried.. Do you think he will return home? Sad

He might return home, but he probably needs your help.  He likely isn't too far from where he got los, hiding and probably too scared to come out even if he hears you.  Put the posters up, then walk around that area showing his picture to everyone you meet.  It would help if you have your phone number written/typed on pieces of paper so you can hand it out to anyone who will take it (eg, it could say:  Lost: black cat with white feet (or whatever his description is), Ph.555-5555).  If you can afford to pass out flyers with his photo on, do that.  Cover the area you last saw him within at least a couple of blocks, and put up the poster maybe in a grocery store (many have bulletin boards). If they don't have a bulletin board, speak to the manager and request to tap the poster to a window near the door.  Also, most newspapers will let you post a free lost ad.  Don't forget to contact the Humane Society.

Of course, when you find the little guy, be sure to go around removing all the posters you put up.  I hope you find him today!
