So on sunday night I was watching tv when I started getting this pressure like feeling in my head.It didn't really hurt it was just somewhat annoying, I didn't have anything to take for it so I just tried to ignore it. Well the next morning I woke up and I didn't really notice it, but as the day went on it got worse and worse. Then I woke tuesday morning and it Was the same thing, but It was deffinatly more noticable in the morning. As the day went on it got worse...and worse....and worse...and worse. I had taken tylenol extra strength in the morning and some excedrin migraine in the evening. Both helped, but barely. So I tried going to sleep last night and I just couldn't do it. It hut so bad and it was so annoying. I literally felt like the big show was squeezing my head. So I ended up going to the emergency room and the doctor did some weird "test" on me when he made me squeeze his fingers, put his hands on my feet and made me push up and down. touch my finger to my nose then to his finger with both hands, and all this other stuff. He said I was pretty normal. Then he mentioned brain tumor wich is what I had been scared of all along. He said it didn't sound like I had one but because I couldn't get an MRI/CT scan I'm still freaking out, he gave me some medication and it seems to help out somewhat, but not alot=/ And now it seems like I'm having tunnel vision. Like I can see everything infront of me but I can only focus on one thing and the rest seems out of focus and a little fuzzy. I'm really scared=/
Can someone please help me. I don't have insurance to go visit a family doctor my medical assistence will barely cover my visit from last night, I'm so scared I have a brain tumor or something. I don't really know the symptoms of one but I'm scared to look them up because I don't want to freak myself out even more. please help.

Happy I came across this question. Don't worry hun, everything will be okay. My mom had a brain tumor a while ago and she had the same symptoms. Trust me don't be scared I went through this before worrying about my mom. She had an MRI done and other tests and turned out she had meningioma (think that how u spell it) lol and they did a surgery. Went perfectly fine actually better than they expected. Then she did radiation. And everything turned out great. She stayed positive throughout the whole time. Now your situation doesn't seem as bad as my mom's was so I think you will fine. Get appointments with your doctor and try to really figure out what this is but don't worry because staying positive and in a good mood will keep your brain healthy.(: I hope all turns out well. <3

My father had cancer just a couple of years ago, and it was very scary. I am no doctor, but to me it doesn't sound like a brain tumor. Brain tumors grow relatively slowly. Which leads me to believe that you would be feeling this pressure for several weeks before it became severe.
Regardless, of the situation with your insurance, i would go and get all the help you can. There are programs to help you with the financial costs.
I really don't think you have cancer. Although, it is a possibility, it is much more likely that some other problem is going on. The doctors have to play it safe, ya know? They probably just want to run tests to make sure its not cancer.
Good Luck!! And i know its hard but try not to think about it to much.

you don't have a brain tumor you had/have sinus headaches they go all the way around the head causing squeezing head pressure etc that caused excess stress anxiety one of the most common complaints or thoughts of anxiety sufferers is I've got a brain tumor the tunnel vision fuzziness is from hyperventilation worsening you anxiety my guess is he gave you a prescription for an anti anxiety medicine ativan or Xanax anyway brain tumors typically don't hurt the brain itself doesn't feel anything at all but if the tumor where in a location near nerves etc it could cause pain but if he tested your brain your cognitive functions by doing the touching the toes nose etc then it's almost 100% that you don't have a tumor unless you have slurred or difficulty with speech nausea or vomiting Gradual loss of sensation or movement in an arm or a leg Difficulty with balance Confusion in everyday matters Personality or behavior changes Seizures, especially in someone who doesn't have a history of seizures Hearing problems now symptoms overlap but if you have a few of these then seek further treatment mri/ct scan
