So my BF and I are both 19 and he recently (a few days ago) decided to join the military. He is severely over weight now he has been eating well but is still trying to get the exercise thing down. He is 268 pounds and I know that he will not be able to lose the weight. He is only 5' 9" and has a BF% of like 35%.

how can I tell him that he is too fat and will never be able to make it in the military but in a way where I dont seem like a bad GF

This is his account BTW but he never checks it.
cmon, he says he has to lose like 80 pounds of weight, thats not possible, not unless hes working out alot for two years...

He might not "never" be able to make it in. He just needs to lose a lot of weight first. People can do extraordinary things when they want something. Since you say he's watching his diet and exercising, how about you be a good girlfriend and support him, and maybe even work out with him?

EDIT: A female in my unit gained a LOT of weight while she was undergoing cancer treatment. She had to lose the weight or they were going to chapter her out. In 6 months, she lost over 50 pounds by eating healthy and going to the gym 2-3 times a day.

Are you afraid that if he gets in shape, he might get some self-confidence and leave you for a girl that will treat him better than you obviously do?

You're mean.
He can lose the weight.. 268 pounds isn't that much compared to people who weigh 500 pounds.
Give him a chance. Or let him find someone who isn't a bunsupported
