i've been taking alesse 28 for about 9 months now, and everything has been going smoothly, my period always came on time and lasted for about 5 days. i skipped my period last month because we were going on vacation and my doctor said it would be fine. i started a new pack, and about 2 weeks into it, i got my period, and i have been on my period for 3 weeks.
its very light, and brownish, but sometimes bright red. it never goes onto the pad, it only comes out on the tampon. my doctor got his license taken away because someone used a fake health card and he didnt know, so i can't go to him, he's gone for a few months. i'm going to a walk-in on monday to get some forms signed for school, and a final check-up.
what should i tell the doctor? do i need to be on a higher estrogen pill?
nothing has changed, not my diet, no stress, nothing. im completely clueless and kinda pissed off.
thanks.
im still taking the hormone pills now, i didnt know what to do. i didnt want to stop taking them or switch to the placebo pills, so im still using the ones meant to keep me from getting my period. is this ok?

When you skip periods with birth control like that, that's pretty normal to happen.  It's just break-through bleeding.  Basically, your body wanted it's period, but you kept taking the hormonal pills, so it's trying to fight back.  It should stop here soon.  I'm on a birth control where you only get your period 4 times a year, and the first few months I was on it, I spotted like that for about 8 weeks.  Your body will adjust.

And just tell the doctor what you told us on here, how your other doctor told you you could skip your period, and you've been spotting for 3 weeks since then.
