I'm a Medical Student - I have to have a 3.8-4.0 + a degree + shadowing experience + many other things just to be considered for 90 slots out of 1800+ applicants at the University of Colorado - Health Sciences Center in Denver, Colorado.

Someone like Palin - with 7 Community Colleges & with a vindictive mental disposition is eligible to become PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!

Rick Perry is a D- student - via his transcripts on the web.

How about a Ph.D. in something - anything for Christs sake.  Of all the Republican Candidates - at least Newt has that.

What about someone running a country. Shouldn't they be required to have efficiently run something in the past?

Because if it was a requirement they couldn't hire all their friends to get paid big bucks to give them advice.

The cream usually rises to the top, even in our broken political system (with the exception of G.W. Bush).

The best solution is to require voters to have college degrees or pass a Constitutional exam. Then the remainder of what you are hoping for will fall into place systematically.
