I've asked this before but didn't get any reasonable answers.
What makes you so sure that christianity is right and that all other religions are false? And please don't say, "Because christianity has the free gift of salvation" or "In other religion you have to do good works to get into heaven and christianity is different."
I stated not to say those things because just because a religion has good things in them does not make it the right religion. There could be a religion out there that requires you to cut off your left arm. Sounds horrible, right? But just because it sounds bad does not mean that it is false. Who are you to say a religion is false just because it doesn't sound appealing to you?
Also, I'am aware that Jesus is the only God that is alive and that all other gods are dead (or so I've read). I found this to be somewhat compelling. But when I started to think about it, it doesn't really matter. So what if they're god is dead? Why would that automatically make you believe that they're whole religion is wrong?
Also, there are alot of other religions out there that do miracles, healings etc just like christianity. I personally believe that some parts of christianity are true but certainly not all of it. I believe there are slices of truth in alot of religions. It's like a big puzzle. Because of this, I'm just not sure what religion to resort to.
Also, people from other religions say that they have a good, warm sense of security just like how christians get when they accept Jesus into their hearts. So please don't say anything about christianity giving you a good feeling or whatever because alot of ofther religions do the same.
So now that I have stated all the facts, how is christianity different? Please enlighten me.

The mere fact that I chose this religion over all others speaks for itself.

Its not. Its a generic idea in the matrix.
People just follow it because its so loving (since the preachers dont mention the other traditions).
And People tend to be stupid in some ways, hench I bought a umbrella thats 100% gold, but can barely use it (due to being 150lbs).

Dear friend, I didn't become a Christian because of Christianity, I became a Christian because of Jesus.
When I finally let down all my guards and invited Him into my life, I would not trade the peace of knowing Him for anything. The transition is so compelling, so pronounced, it is no wonder Jesus used the phrase "born again".

Well christianity is great because you get to go to heaven. To go to heaven you have to follow God's word. A lot of religions don't do that. And yeah, you have to work hard to get there, but it's worth it in the end. (:

Most religions are about man's attempt to reach God. Christianity is the only religion where God became man (that is who Jesus was) and came down to us.
Jesus said that He was the truth, the life and the way and that there was no other way to the Father in heaven, but by Him. You ask, why do I believe Him? Because of my experience of the word of God (the bible) in my life and my experience of a living savior in my life.
Every single born again Christian will give you pretty much the same answer. It is a personal belief, born out of experience of the living God.

I have found that Christianity has the most proof and evidence backing it up. A great website that provides scientific fact and logical reasoning is Christiananswers.net. Search unbiasedly and you will find the truth in Christianity.

The thing is, it's not any different.
Almost all of the stories in the bible have been copied from other religious stories. If you research it, almost all of the faiths of Mesopotamia are similar.
Also, many religions believed that there was living gods on earth, or at least children of them. Take Shinto, the Japanese believed their emperor was the child of the sun god. Almost same conception story every time, just like Jesus.
Same with Egyptian mythology, with pharaohs being descended from Osiris.
Very common themes, holidays, and figures through out all religion, why you ask?
Because it answers questions that all humans have, where do we come from, where do we go when we die, why does the river flood, why do people get sick.
You can find out more by searching other religions, you'll find common themes through out all of them.

To be honest, I am not so sure. I was raised as a Catholic, and continued practicing Catholicism purely because it feels right. My heart is telling me I am following the right path, that God has left for me. I still need a little more strength in my faith.. I apologize but at this time I don't have an answer that you are looking for... hopefully one day I will.

i don“t know what answer you are looking for!
The Christian future hope is expressed by the doctrine of the Second Coming of Christ, when evil will finally come to an end and the spiritual blessings already accomplished in Jesus Christ will be manifested substantially in the Kingdom of Heaven.

It's just a personal choice people use religion as comfort food as a way to deal with things that we can't see or explain that being said I believe that when I die I'm going to heaven because I don't want to be reincarnated to walk this earth all over again like some religions believe and I don't want to be stuck in purgatory and atheists can't even explain what happens to your soul but for me Christianity is what I was raised in and though I strayed from it and have had my doubts for me it works and it makes me feel less scared about where I'm going when I die I think religion just has to be a personal choice I don't knock any other religions but they just arent for me

The reality is that no one really knows. You don't see the air, but you know it's there! Seeing isn't always believing!

The real gift of Christianity to the world is the idea that individual humans can experience relationship to God. What Christianity fails to teach is that God desires a relationship WITH individuals.
Since you are willing to balance Christianity against other religions, let me suggest you read the Urantia Book. It's a revelatory perspective.

"Because islam has the free gift of salvation" "Because judism has the free gift of salvation" "Because hinduism has the free gift of salvation" (or words to that effect). i.e. people are very narrow minded once they believe they know 'the truth'. Logic reason & evidence are surplus to requirement.
