Hi,

I am going to be a senior next year, and I've wanted to go into journalism ever since the 8th grade. I live in California, so USC is my dream school and I was wondering if you guys think it's possible for me to get in Annenberg with my GPA. And if not USC any suggestions you have would be appreciated!

Unweighted GPA (10-11): 3.0
(9-11): 3.25
Weighted GPA (9-11): 3.686
(10-11): 3.664
*Note* My high school is in the high middle in ranking and competitiveness, but I have taken all the hardest classes that are offered.

SAT:
Math: 700
Reading: 770
Writing: 750

EC:
-High School Newspaper: 9-12 (Reporter, Reporter, News Editor (and managing editor next year))
- Won a district and a northern california award for an article on UC campus fee hikes
- Reporter for a Youth TV station from 8th to 10th grade
- Board Operator and Intern at a radio station from 10th grade to present
- Volunteer for local hospital (HR and gift shop) from 10th grade to present
- Volunteer with special education kids every summer from 7th grade to present
- Bollywood Dance: 13 years and continuing
- Indian Classical Dance: 8 years and continuing (will be completing my formal graduation [arangetaram] in spring of 2012)
- Piano: 11 years, completed up to level 6 of CM testing but had to quit due to time commitment of Indian Classical Dance

Thanks
- Shalini
