I was with my ex for over 7 years, but we have now been broken up for about 2 years. He has moved to another state, but we still talk time to time about getting back together. We have not spoken since New Year's Eve, and since then I have gotten pregnant. I am pro-choice, however it is not the choice for me, that being said..I'm keeping my baby. I have been friends with the dad since high school, but don't want a relationship with him. I haven't wanted a relationship with anyone but my ex since we broke up, but things happen. So I recently spoke with my ex and of course told him the news, he then relayed to me that had I not gotten pregnant, we would've gotten back together after I finished my degree (as we planned). Now he says it will never happen because he would not be able to get over me having this child. He still seems to love me and have genuine concern, so my question is, could this be something that he could get over? During our third year in our relationship (on a breakup), he had a similar incident and we're still unsure about the paternity of that child because the mother is sometimey about wanting a test...nevertheless, I still chose to be with him through it, will that have any bearing on his decision?
