What is considered unacceptable and what's considered acceptable when it comes to this? I know that when you're in uniform any kind of PDA is not acceptable but if you're out of uniform and you happen to be gay is it considered unacceptable still? Even though you're not representing the country with a uniform does this mean you can't be affectionate with your significant other in public around people that know you're from the military? I hope that made sense..

Under DADT, you have the SAME rules regardless of your sexuality.
Dating/fucking on duty isn't allowed and according to the entire Democrat caucus that discriminates against gays - which proves Democrats think gays CAN'T control themselves so need special allowances.

You are a service member 24/7.  Just because you are not in uniform doesnt mean you are not representng your country.  Any PDA that reveals that you are gay is all thats required to get someone kicked out.  It depends on the command and the people you work with.  In my unit we had two people who everyone knew were gay, but know one cared.  They never displayed affection though.  In other units people may not be as forgiving.  Once it is know you are gay then its a violation of dont ask dont tell.
